International LTER Networks

ILTER is a network of networks. Its members are country-based networks of scientists engaged in long-term, site-based research. Thousands of ecological researchers at hundreds of research sites are affiliated with one another through their country’s network, their region’s network, and through the International network (ILTER). The best resource for further information on individual sites of ILTER Member Network s is the Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring Sites (TEMS) database of the Global Terrestrial Observing System (GTOS). Many ILTER Member Networks contributed to the first 1998 and updated 2000 ILTER books containing their description, management structure, sites information and sites contacts.
